Zùsto®, like sugar, gives sweetening power and structure to the products in which it is used. For the most part, Zùsto® owes its sweet taste to the fibres used to make it. For an identical taste experience, including the characteristic peak sugar delivers, we add an intensive sweetener. The sweetener used depends on the application and the local legislation. It is usually sucralose, a substance made from sugar with a comparably sweet profile.
The fibres not only provide sweetening and structure, they also offer a number of health benefits and have prebiotic effects. After all, eating more fibre is healthy: it is a source of nutrition for the good bacteria that promote healthy intestinal flora. In addition, Zùsto® helps you to substantially reduce your calorie intake. For example, strawberry jam prepared with Zùsto contains almost 70% fewer calories.
