Hazelnut wafers

Mmmm, these hazelnut waffles are everything you never knew you needed! Simple, easy to make waffles with hazelnut. A nut that invariably adds a powerful flavour to your pastries. And it’s certainly no different in this case!

Ingredients

For 14 wafers
  • 200 g pastry flour
  • 100 g hazelnut flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 70 g Zùsto
  • 100 g melted butter, cooled to room temperature
  • 280 ml milk (optional)
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 eggs

Equipment

  • Bowl
  • Waffle iron
  • Cooling grid
  • Ladle

Preparation method

  1. Mix the Zùsto with the eggs and beat firmly with the whisk. 
  2. Add the vanilla and milk and mix well again. Add the butter and mix in. 
  3. Next, add the flour, hazelnut flour and baking powder to the batter.
  4. Mix and allow to rest while you heat your waffle iron. 
  5. Use about half a ladle per waffle and bake for about 4 minutes each time. Allow to cool on a wire rack and serve!
