Preparation method
- Bring the butter to room temperature.
- Mix together the Zùsto and the flour.
- Add the butter and egg to the flour.
- Mix well until the egg is fully incorporated.
- Add the vanilla essence and knead the dough until it is smooth.
- Cover the dough with cling film and leave to rest in a cool place for 30 minutes.
- Make balls approximately the size of a walnut.
- Mould the ball into the shape of a finger. Using a knife, carefully make small lines at the joints.
- Next, place an almond on the tip of the finger to mimic a nail.
- Brush each finger with a little beaten egg yolk.
- Heat the oven to 180 degrees and bake the biscuits for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
- With a brush, apply a little cinnamon to the joints
- Using a small brush, apply the fake blood to the back of each biscuit and to the nails.
