STRAWBERRY JAM
WITH LAVENDER OR ROSEMARY

What is more delicious at breakfast than home-made strawberry jam? Nothing—especially when the jam is sugar-free! For a creative twist when making this jam, add a little lavender or a different herb of your choosing.

Serving tip: Serve the jam with scones. Because you’re using Zùsto, the jam won’t have any added sugar.

Ingredients

  • 500 g strawberries
  • 350 g Zùsto
  • 1 bag of Marmello (sugar-free gelling agent)
  • Finely chopped lavender or rosemary (optional)

Method

  1. Put the strawberries and the herbs in a pan (possibly with about 25 ml water) and bring them to the boil.
  2. Add the Zùsto and allow it to continue cooking for another 10 minutes.
  3. Mix the Marmello with a little moisture and add the strawberries and herbs. Let everything cook for another minute.
  4. Pour the jam into glass jam jars. Close the jars and put them aside, upside down. Allow them to cool to room temperature.
  5. Store the jam in the refrigerator.

Note: Thanks to the use of Zùsto, the jam will contain considerably less sugar than regular jam. Consequently, it will have a shorter shelf life.
