Swirl cookies with Zùsto hazelnut spread

Cookies are always delicious with coffee and they’re also fun to make yourself with the kids. But what if we could combine it with Zùsto’s delicious hazelnut spread? Yes, it’s possible.

For 10 people
  • 125 g butter (room temperature)
  • 65 g Zùsto
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 130 g pastry flour (sieved)
  • 5 tbsp Zùsto hazelnut spread


  • Baking paper
  • Food processor with whisk
  • Cling film
  • Kitchen roll

Preparation method

  1. Mix the Zùsto with the eggs in the food processor.
  2. Now add the butter, little by little.
  3. Mix in the sifted flour and knead until homogeneous.
  4. Wrap the dough in cling film and leave it to stiffen in the fridge for half an hour.
  5. Take another piece of cling film and place it on your kitchen countertop.
  6. Remove the dough from the refrigerator and, if necessary, divide it into 2 halves.
  7. Roll out the dough to about a half-centimetre thickness.
  8. Spread Zùsto hazelnut spread on the dough, leaving the edges free.
  9. Now carefully roll up the dough. Put cling film around it again (make a kind of sausage) and roll it a few times over your kitchen worktop. If necessary, do the same with the second half.
  10. Place the dough in the fridge again for at least an hour.
  11. Preheat the oven to 175°C.
  12. Cut slices of approx. 1 cm and put them on the baking sheet.
  13. Bake the biscuits for 12 to 15 min.
